I specialise in

  • Resistance training with machines and free weights:
    General strength training increases your muscle mass, metabolic rate and helps to increase & maintain bone density and manage joint problems, we also make sure that you lift the weights with the right technique and posture to make sure you do not do injure yourself.
  • Boxing:
    Helps to improve co-ordination and cardiovascular fitness as it is a higher intensity workout using all your limbs. Boxing also adds some fun and variety to your workout and has proved very popular with our female clients.
  • Cardio workouts:
    Are important for increasing fitness and heart/lung health. We have various types of cardio workout machines such as: rowing machine, stationary bike, treadmill and a cross trainer as well as doing outdoor activites.
  • Toning and increasing muscle mass:
    Strength training increases your muscle mass, metabolic rate and helps to increase & maintain bone density and manage joint problems and is essentail for those wanting increase their muscle mass.
  • Fitball exercise:
    This type of training uses fitball that provides an unstable environment that causes you to provide your stabilizing muscles that you do not usually use. Fitball exercise training develops your core. This training is great at developing your postural muscles and are critical for balance and also strengthens your lower back and abdominals.
  • Fitness testing:
    We do Fitness Testing at the start of your training with More From Life Personal Training, then we also test every 6-8 weeks to monitor your fitness progress. This involves a cardio vascular check with heart monitor, and a series of muscular endurance tests and body fat scales. This enables us to tailor your program more accurately.
  • Weight loss:
    The key elements to weight loss are balancing your diet (input) and exercise (output), building muscle to increase your metabolic rate, the correct nutrition to lose fat & build muscle, setting realistic goals and the maintaining the motivation to keep going. Your personal trainer can help you with all these aspects, giving you the individual attention that you won't get at a gym, and keeping you accountable.
  • Nutrition:
    The key elements to Nutrition are balancing your diet (input) and setting realistic goals and the maintaining the motivation to keep going. We look at a healthy eating plan to best suit your situation / lifestyle and goals.
  • Training to prepare for army or police fitness exams:
    Specific training to meet the physical demands expected to meet requirements to be accepted in these forces which include: fire fighter, army, navy, airforce, police. We have had several clients successfully pass their physical test.
  • Special event training e.g. City to Bay Fun Run:
    The City to Bay fun run, is a 12km event from Adelaide city to Glenelg. Each year we train a group of our clients to face the challenge of completing the event whether it be walking or running the event. We work together to achieve the finish line together.


Things to remember

Always bring a workout towel and water bottle with you to your training sessions, these items are essential. Please arrive to your session on time otherwise we will lose valuable time that you have paid for.
